Agenda: *The agenda can be purchased for $5.00*
Please check your child’s Agenda on a daily basis.
We use the Agenda to alert you to missed homework assignments, due dates, project dates, special events, etc
Grading:
Formal Assignments:(Tests, Drafted Essays, and Projects) 65% of student's grade
Informal Assignments: (Quizzes, Classwork and Homework) 35% of student's grade
Independent Reading
Students are to be reading their IRB (Independent Reading Book) for20 minutes each night (Monday- Thursday). Students are expected to take an active role by completing their reading to the best of their ability and by being prepared to reflect on what they read the next day in class
PowerSchool (replacing Parent Assist) Student grades are accessible through the PowerSchool system. Usernames and passwords are required. You can find more information about this new system by visiting __http://parents.cms.k12.nc.us__ Parent Portal Hotline 980-343-9420
